Still Cold

It's still cold and rainy today but it's supposed to get warm tomorrow. Auburn plays at Samford tomorrow night. I might try to make the game.

It's cold and raining on this Sunday morning in Shelby County. Is this winter's last stab at us?

This Week

Yesterday we picked up Doo-Rail from the vet where he was staying so that Webster could eat only soft food at home. But Web wasn't feeling so we had to get him checked out. Turned out he has an inflammed bladder so now Web is taking a pain killer and an antibiotic. Between the cats, we giving 5 doses of medicine a day!

A Spring-Like Saturday

Yesterday our cat Webster had some dental work done by a specialist, Dr. Gaddis. The crowns of his two front teeth after the canine teeth are down to the roots. The vet had to file one of them and close with a stitch. So Web is supposed to be eating only moist teeth for a few days. AFter an up and down time last night, we decided to board Doo-Rail today because we can't keep up staying up all night dealing with both of them.

We had light rain early, but the sun is out late afternoon and it's a spring-like Saturday in March. You never know about these transition months in the South. It can be warm or cold or rain or tornados at any time.

We watched Kentucky destroy Tennessee and State and Vandy are battling as I write this. And Auburn is looking for a new basketball coach. Who knows who that will be.

Rain, rain, and more Rain

March and April are transition months in the South as we transition from winter into spring. Thunderstorms and the threat of tornados are common. All it's done this week in Alabama is rain. More rain is falling on this Friday.

Chinese Fire Drilling

I realized today that I have not done a Chinese fire drill in too long. What a shame.

A Lovely Weekend

It was a lovely weekend in Shelby County with spring-like weather. I walked the last two years. Yes, I'm determined to get back into exercising.

Given this beautiful and sunny day in Shelby County, you might get the impression that spring is on the way. I hope so, for I've had enough of cold weather.
