Before Thanksgiving (2)

Freddy and I have been in Little Rock since Monday. We are heading home today. This town seems like Birmingham, just a little smaller. We get good vibes about it.

Before Thanksgiving

The Sunday before Thanksgiving is overcast and dismal, heavy rain having come through last night. Freddy and I are driving to Little Rock tomorrow. Things change.

It's Been a Lovely Weekend in Alabama

It's been a lovely weekend in Shelby County. Freddy is off to Little Rock today. We wish him good luck.

Soggy Tuesday

Hurricane Ida comes ashore this morning in the Gulf, and we are hit with some wind mainly lots of rain in Alabama. We can handle it.

The Rain Starts to Come Again

The rain, this time from Hurricane Ida, starts to come when Freddy and I go to pick up dinner from Golden Corral. Maybe we won't have any wind.

Sunday in November

It's a lovely, sunny, Sunday morning in Shelby County, Alabama. We three are here enjoying the day.

Another Quick Friday is Here

Moyna has a coumadin appointment. We were to get haircuts, but we backed out. We procure dinner from Red Robin in Trussville. I thought about going to the Pelham-Jess Lanier game, but changed my mind. The high school playoffs start tonight.

November 1

We've enjoyed the extra hour today. We had forgotten the situation until Jan and her infant daughter visited last night and reminded us of the time change. This is our day to change all of the batteries in the house, and we feel better changing the batteries in the smoke detectors twice a year.
