A New Laptop
Fred Hudson is in the market for a new home family laptop computer. He is looking at a Dell 17 inch screen model and an HP 16.5 inch model. Does anyone have an opinion?

It seems I've heard good and bad things about Dell. I don't know. Either way, I guess you'll have to acclimate to Vista!
Whatever you do, make sure you do your research and know what you're getting into. I think you should go to several stores and compare products to find what you really want. I don't think you need anything fancy.
I don't think you need a lot of hard disk space either. Having enough RAM increases computer performance also.
I've done some research but it's difficult because there are so many models and details.
