Thanksgiving at the Hudsons

The Hudsons are in Pelham spending a typical Thanksgiving together. We awoke to cinnamon rolls, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. I read the paper. It has been a sluggish day, in which we've all taken naps (or more than one) at different times.

I called my grandparents and thanked them for my birthday present. All is well in Modesto. We had Thanksgiving dinner. Moyna laboriously made a tummy-satiating meal of cajun turkey, broccoli casserole, apple salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and jumbo crescents.

Tomorrow I will finish removing a bush from the backyard. Sunday we will erect the Christmas decorations. There's no boondoggling at the Hudson home.

2007 has gone too fast. I heard in a movie recently that as you get older, the things from your past seem more real to you than the present. I think sometimes that's true. Yet here we are again, the three Hudsons together, treading ahead.
