Summer Doldrums
Summer is definitely here. The high today in the Birmingham area is supposed to be around 98. There is no relief in sight as we fight drought conditions.
Freddy is back in Georgia. Moyna and I are in Pelham.
Vacation is over. We are back into the swing of things.

Here is a place to go to beat those doldrums: Palisades Park in Oneonta. It is a beautiful place on top of a mountain, which you are allowed to climb. It is not a place for small, fast children, as it has no rails and children are very aerodynamic. You and Moyna should go.

Can you see Fred pushing me UP a mountain in a wheelchair?! DON'T THINK SO...but we appreciate you trying to end our doldrums!!! Fred would probably like to go up the mountain, so that he could let me go on the way down...!!
